Ambassador Glassman is a member of the board of the Making Every Vote Count Foundation, which educates the public on alternatives to the current system of electing presidents. He has been involved in other democracy reform efforts, such as opening the final presidential debates to a third candidate and enhancing integrity in public life. He served as Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Chairman of the U.S. Broadcasting Board of Governors under President George W. Bush. He is Founding Executive Director of the Bush Institute in Dallas and was a Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute for 20 years. He was Publisher of the New Republic, President of the Atlantic Monthly, Editor of Roll Call, and chief investment columnist for the Washington Post. He is a graduate of Harvard University.
