Kareem Crayton, JD, PhD, is a respected scholar, expert, and consultant whose work centers on the intersection of law, politics, and race. He currently serves as Executive Director of the Southern Coalition for Social Justice, an organizational leader in voting rights policy and litigation across the South. Crayton’s work focuses on the relationship between race and politics in representative institutions. Crayton’s research and consulting roles in redistricting in more than a dozen states have distinguished him as a unique figure in debates about redistricting and election reform. Aside from his service in the law and policy arenas, he is the co-creator of The Redistricting Game, a key online tool for exploring redistricting and possibilities for reform.
