Election Protection Manager | Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law
Laura Grace is the Manager of Election Protection at the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law. In this role, she convenes the Election Protection Coalition – the nation’s largest nonpartisan voter protection program. Election Protection works to remove obstacles to voting for all American voters – especially traditionally disenfranchised communities.
Prior to joining the Lawyers’ Committee, Laura worked in international electoral assistance at the National Democratic Institute (NDI), advising and managing election monitoring, advocacy, and legal reform projects. For more than five years, she worked on-the-ground to mentor democracy activists in Myanmar/Burma and Cambodia. Ms. Grace organized voter protection and education efforts in US elections, including in 2016 when she helped overseas Americans vote, and in 2012, when she supported voter protection efforts in Virginia. Ms. Grace received her MA in International Relations at the University of Chicago and her BA in Political Science at the University of San Francisco.
